This Audemars Piguet Disco Volante Ultra Thin is an exceptionally rare limited edition created in 1996 to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the maison’s caliber 2003. Numbered 5 of only 50 pieces produced, it represents one of the most exclusive expressions of Audemars Piguet’s dress watch design.
The watch is crafted with a 35 millimeter case featuring a beautifully executed Clous de Paris bezel and a rare gold outer ring. The case design allows for the option of mounting a leather strap, although none is included with this example. The open caseback reveals the ultra thin caliber 2003, admired for its delicate architecture and fine decoration.
With its limited production, refined proportions and exceptional movement, this Disco Volante Ultra Thin stands as a true collector’s piece and a milestone in Audemars Piguet’s history of high watchmaking.
