Audemars Piguet Cobra Ref. 5403BC is a rare and elegant 1970s creation, known as the sister reference to the iconic Royal Oak Ref. 5402. While both share the same ultra-thin Calibre 2121 movement, the Cobra takes a more sculptural, jewelry-oriented approach with its flowing 18K white gold case and integrated “cobra scale” bracelet. Unlike the industrial boldness of the Royal Oak, the Cobra offers a softer, more luxurious aesthetic—fluid, tactile, and meticulously crafted. This particular example features a striking sunburst blue dial with diamond hour markers, pairing rich color with understated glamour. Produced in very limited numbers the Cobra stands today as one of Audemars Piguet’s most refined and collectible vintage models- bridging haute horlogerie and avant-garde design in a way few watches ever have. This very example is in impressive condition, definitely unpolished and with an uncut, full length bracelet. The dial is beautifully preserved as well and has only one light spot to it.
