The Patek Philippe Ellipse Ref. 3848/001 in 18k yellow gold is a stunning example of classic watchmaking and refined design. Introduced in the 1970s, this timepiece is part of the Golden Ellipse collection, known for its case inspired by the golden ratio, creating a harmonious and perfectly balanced shape that remains timeless. The so called “blue gold” dial with sunburst effect added a unique touch. The 35mm elliptical case is sleek and elegant, offering a luxurious feel without being overly bold. Inside, the watch is powered by the manual-winding Caliber 177. This very example features the beloved and special “chain link” style bracelet by famous JPE in full length and is amazingly preserved with only very light signs of wear and no signs of polishing. The dial has evolved no patina whatsoever which is very unusual as these do tend to patinate heavily. It also comes accompanied by the fullset.
