The Audemars Piguet Ref. 56175TR is a rare and elegant version of the Royal Oak, distinguished by its use of tantalum, a subtle bluish-gray metal. Paired with warm rose gold accents, this combination (denoted by “TR” for Tantale-Rose) offers a unique contrast of tone and texture. Produced in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the 56175TR features a slim 33 mm case and an ultra-thin quartz movement, capturing the minimalist sophistication of the original Royal Oak design. Tantalum’s rarity and difficulty to machine make this reference especially desirable among collectors. This model set the beginning of Audemars Piguet investing heavily in the use of different metals which made the brand a frontier of that. This very watch is in extremely well preserved condition with very sharp edges and clear brushing on the case as well as bracelet and nice polishing on the bevels, which are perfectly angled. The grey dial with its amazing rose gold accents plays an important role in the beauty of this watch and is as well preserved as the case and bracelet. It’s accompanied by a copy of the service receipt as well as service card from a service at Audemars Piguet itself in 2021, and also the service etuit.
