I’m delighted to present this outstanding Patek Philippe Perpetual calendar, rattrapante chronograph reference 5204R-001 in beautiful condition. The Patek Philippe Ref. 5204R is the modern evolution of one of the brand’s most revered complications: the split-seconds chronograph with perpetual calendar. It follows in the footsteps of the iconic Ref. 5004 which was powered by a heavily modified Lemania-based movement and produced in very limited numbers, gaining legendary status among collectors. Introduced in 2012, the 5204 builds on that legacy with a fully in-house movement, the Caliber CHR 29-535, offering improved chronograph performance, modern engineering, and a larger 40 mm case. This very example is in beautiful condition and has only been rarely and lightly worn over the past few years, the hallmarks on the inside of the lugs are still extremely sharp and show no signs of polishing, such as the upper bevels on the lugs which are well pronounciated and show an angle. The silver-white dial with its beautiful layout of the perpetual calendar as well as rattrapante chronograph features no signs of patina or dust, it is perfect, such as the rest of the watch, including the set: it comes accompanied with all the accessories of course including the second caseback, setting pin and the large leather book explaining the history behind as well as the complications of the watch.
